With the KOLLEKTION, light and media artist Christopher Bauder is providing a permanent home in Berlin for a selection of his artworks from more than 20 years of creation. Many of the works on display have been shown around the world before being brought together in a permanent exhibition with the opening of DARK MATTER in Berlin.

SKALAR: Reflections on Light & Sound
SKALAR is a large-scale audiovisual art installation by Christopher Bauder and Kangding Ray xthat combines kinetic objects, synchronized light and a multi-channel sound system. Floating objects, iridescent worlds of light and powerful sounds create an incomparably sensual, almost spiritual experience that opens up a new dimension in the perception of art.

WINTERLIGHTS '24
Just in time for the cold and dark season, DARK MATTER will be back with a new colorful and bright WINTERLIGHTS display in our outdoor area. From November 8, to January 5, as winter whispers through Berlin, artist Christopher Bauder's seasonal outdoor installation will emerge once more as a beacon of light and shine.

With his latest art installation FLOW, light artist Christopher Bauder is once again lighting up the Berlin night this summer. Dutch musician Chris Kuijten composed the multi-channel, immersive soundtrack. The large-format artwork is on display in the outdoor area of DARK MATTER after sunset as part of SOMMERLIGHTS 2024.
