DARK MATTER does not offer parking. There is limited public parking nearby. Parking is free of charge.
ACCESSIBILITY
If you have any questions or need support, then please contact us in advance or at the entrance area. We want your visit to DARK MATTER to be as pleasant as possible. This is important to us.
DARK MATTER offers a barrier-free entrance for visitors with restricted mobility.
All exhibition rooms are also equipped with barrier-free entrances.
Barrier-free restrooms are located on the ground floor next to the other sanitary facilities.
Disability passes marked with a ‘B’ include entry for one accompanying person.
Please ensure that walking aids do not obstruct other visitors' path. If these objects block escape routes, then we are required to remove them. We cannot accept liability for damage to or loss of these items.

The DARK MATTER house rules are binding for all visitors. By entering the museum grounds, visitors acknowledge the regulations and all other instructions issued to maintain operational safety.
DARK MATTER is a place for everyone. We are happy about great diversity: Berliners, tourists, families, daycare and school classes, students, seniors, artists, creative people and much more. It is very important to us to make it possible for people of all ages, origins, skin color, sexual orientation and physical impairments to visit us in an extraordinary but uncomplicated way.

In order to provide all our guests with a unique experience at DARK MATTER, we ask you to pay attention to the following rules:
1. Opening Hours: Notices and public announcements apply. The booked time slots and dates are binding and non-transferable. Please refer to the separate ticket regulations available HERE. If you have any questions, our staff will be happy to assist you. In special cases, we will seek to offer you an alternative, but there is no entitlement to a replacement in the event of a no-show or delay.
2. Please make sure that your cell phones are switched to silent mode in the rooms. In order for all visitors to enjoy a relaxing stay, we ask you to avoid the use of cell phones (except for taking pictures without flash).
3. Photography is only allowed without flash. A maximum of 15 seconds of video recording is permitted. Please note that the use of the images is for private purposes only. Any commercial exploitation of films and photos taken on the premises of DARK MATTER is not allowed or requires the written permission of the management. DARK MATTER may eventually also issue general bans on photography for exhibitions and exhibition rooms or individual objects.
4. Please maintain the necessary distance from the installations. Exceptions are the installations TONE LADDER and POLYGON PLAYGROUND. Here interaction is expressly desired and therefore these installations may be entered and touched. We are especially pleased to welcome our younger guests and ask the accompanying persons to ensure a safe distance and consideration for other visitors at all times.
5. You are liable within the framework of the legal regulations for the damages caused by you or those entrusted to you. In case of intentional and negligent triggering of the alarm devices or disturbances that require the interruption of the event, the responsible visitors will bear the costs incurred.
6. Please take care of your wardrobe and other private objects. Do not leave any bags or the like unattended in the exhibition area. We are not liable for lost or damaged items. If you have found or forgotten items in the rooms or on the exhibition grounds, please inform us. We will be happy to help you.
7. Smoking is prohibited in the entire exhibition area. The use of e-cigarettes, shisha and e-shisha or similar is also covered by the smoking ban. Of course the consumption of drugs is strictly forbidden in general, the excessive consumption of alcohol is included here. Persons suspected of being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol may be denied entry.
8. KOLLEKTION: The consumption of food and drink on the premises is prohibited. TRANSFORMATOR: The consumption of drinks is permitted.
9. Animals, with the exception of trained assistance dogs, are not allowed on the entire premises.
10. For your safety the premises are also under video surveillance.

The instructions of the supervisory staff must be followed. In special situations, these instructions may go beyond the instructions for conduct already listed in these house rules. In the event of violations of these or disruptions to exhibition operations, the visitor may be required to leave the premises. In case of recurrence, the visit can be prohibited for a limited or unlimited period of time.
The employees of DARK MATTER are permitted to execute the householder's rights in the interest of the management.
Please be as calm and considerate as you would expect other visitors to be, so that everyone can have a good time at DARK MATTER.
HOUSE RULES
Please read carefully to learn about the rules for using the ice rink:

Staff instructions must be followed at all times.

Use of the entire premises and the ice rink is at your own risk.

We accept no liability for any accidents.

Parents are responsible for their children.

Wearing helmets is recommended.

The ice surface is slippery and there is a risk of slipping. This also applies to areas around cooling pipes, machinery, and the spectator area. Please be aware of icy surfaces throughout the premises and event area.

Please behave considerately on the ice rink and skate carefully and without risk to yourself or others. This applies especially to children and beginners.

For school groups, supervisors are responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules and youth protection regulations.

For clubs, responsible staff are obliged to ensure compliance with the rules and youth protection regulations.

For children and adolescents, guardians or authorized supervisors are responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules and youth protection regulations.

Access is only permitted with a valid ticket.

Smoking is only allowed in designated (outdoor) areas.

If you rent skates, a deposit must be provided.

We accept no liability for lost or damaged personal belongings.

The deposit will only be returned upon proper return of the skates. The renter is responsible for their condition. In case of loss, the skates must be reimbursed at replacement value.

Please dispose of your waste in the bins provided.

Please help us keep the ice rink in the best possible condition.

Please report any accidents immediately to the staff.
The following is strictly prohibited:

Entering the ice with street shoes and/or strollers.

Damaging or scraping the ice surface.

Throwing objects (e.g. snowballs) or cigarette butts onto the ice.

Sitting or climbing on the rink boards/barriers.

Consuming food or drinks on the ice.

Using rental skates outside the premises.

Entering or using the ice rink under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Carrying objects such as weapons, knives, batons, or other items that could injure persons or damage property.

Entering areas not open to visitors.

Throwing or pouring any objects or liquids onto the event or visitor area.

Bringing alcoholic beverages of any kind.

Bringing animals.

Violation of these ice rink rules will result in removal from the premises without refund.
